Michael Zemo, becomes co-owner of the Z in 2010. Michael is an apprentice with the IBEW 145 Apprenticeship Program. He left employment in 2006 with one of our sponsors, Miller Electric, and is currently working with Koehler Electric (sponsor of Davenport Speedway).

Michael enters his ninth season and his seventh year as a full-time driver in the cockpit of the Z. He is officially making the leap to Late Model with Mike Sr. Michael may still have an opportunity to drive in the Modified division should A1 Galesburg car owner, Gary Bruington, wish to continue racing in 2010.

• The 2002 season ended with a 6th place finish in the season championship race and a 9th place finish in points at Hawkeye Speedway.
  
  
• The 2003 season netted Rookie of Year in all divisions and finished with 12th place in points at Davenport Speedway.
  
  
• His 2004 season as a full-time driver netted him a 5th place points standing at Davenport Speedway and 12th place points standing at QC Speedway.
  
  
• In the 2005 season Michael accomplished a 6th place points standing at Davenport and a 4th place points standing at QC Speedway.
  
  
• In the 2006 season Michael accomplished a 9th place points standing at Davenport and a 7th place points standing at QC Speedway during a season that wreaked havoc.
  
  
• In the 2007 season Michael accomplished a 11th place points standing at Davenport and a 6th place points standing at QC Speedway.
  

• In the 2008 season Michael accomplished a 15th place points standing at Davenport and a 6th place points standing at QC Speedway.
  
  
• In the 2009 season Michael accomplished a 16th place points standing at Davenport and unknown place points standing at QC Speedway.

Goals:
Solving the dilemmas that have set us back, late model division, and taking on more ownership tasks. Finishing his electrical apprenticeship and building his own home in 3 years (I like his thinking!).

In 2009 Michael has begun meeting the goals he sat for himself. Hopefully 3 of the items listed above can be checked off and in 2 years all of his goals are met.
