Mike Zemo, Geneseo IL

Mike has enjoyed racing for the past 25 years. The yellow Z71 was his first try as owner at open wheel racing and he has earned kudos in his accomplishments as owner. If anyone loves this sport it is most definitely Mike, from NASCAR on down to his beloved dirt track racing. Watching his "baby" on the track will be as exciting to him as if he were running the NASCAR circuit!! Mike will be maintaining the chassis, fabricating the body, and set-up on the Z. His motto: KISS (keep it simple stupid).

Michael Zemo, Geneseo IL

In his younger days you may have seen Michael running in the stands watching his "heroes." Michael has put in his rookie time and is officially on his way to becoming a veteran driver and has proven he is adept at his craft.. Michael, unlike his elders, sees this as the opportunity to go fast, faster, and fastest without the worry of getting his license suspended. Michael will be remain in the cockpit throughout the season "in that fast mutha trucka."

Dave "Dog Dog" Groene, MO

Sad for us, great for Dave! Dave will be retiring in the summer of 2010 and will be residing in Missouri. His good luck will be our misfortune, but we will have him for a few months this year. Dave is considered part of the family and has been around it seems since day one. Since he was a wee young lad he has tinkered with cars and loved the roar of an engine. Fairlanes and Mustangs (quite the Ford man) were his joy in life, and over the years he had some pretty cool ones (if he'd have kept them, he would have had quite an awesome collection). Now days, he is into "big" trucks and Harley Davidson's. You can catch Dave at many of the races this season. Ladies, check out the guns!!

Deb Zemo, Geneseo IL

Deb's job is supporting the team, updating the website, and taping races. Michael seems to enjoy watching and learning (with the exception of 2005) what he could have done differently, or how he just managed to squeak by the big one! Years of taping have confirmed my efforts were worth it as Michael has risen to, in my mind, a force to be reckoned with on the track. Since I'm just the mom, my only requirements are Michael climbs out of his car safe every night and gives as much respect to his contenders as possible. Having to make each show or win each race, it doesn't really matter what expectations others place on him ... I know he gave 100%. You gotta fail to continue to grow.

Chrissy, Davenport IA

Chrissy is a welcomed player with Zemo Motorsports and has shown great support and warmth. Chrissy has blended in with the entire team and exhibited a camaraderie that brings excitement and joy we had lost. She has refreshed our motivation about the upcoming racing season. Everyone needs to be inspired at times in their lives and it appears her quiet demeanor has done just that for us.

Gene Logston, Sherrard IL

Gene is one of those guys you can't help but like. He's a long time friend and racing buddy and works perfectly with the team. We appreciate the time he has to spare for the Z71 and his great attitude. Gene has been dubbed by Michael as strong as an ox and can move, pick up, or toss anything in his way. He is unbearably strong!! It's always good to see Gene enter the pits and join the team.

Danny Nelan, Coal Valley IL

Danny joined the race team part-time and assists in many aspects. He offers the team positive attitude and takes on projects that take time and effort to complete. Danny's experience with chassis building and welding have helped considerably.

Russel Engeland, Rock Island, IL

Russ runs the old D&M Z71 on Friday nights at Davenport. Zemo and Engeland are generally pit buddies and we can always rely on Russ to lend a helping hand. His support can't be missed as you watch him live and breathe the moments Michael is on the track. I love his exuberance and refreshing personallity.
